  "Charlie unfortunately failed to run a successful business, and had to close his doors. In the process, he ran up a bill with us and was unable to pay it. He needed his final business tax return completed, and agreed to pay us from the refund he would receive. When he received the money, he did not pay us. So, we did not give him the accounting work he had us perform. He attempted to file a complaint with the BBB, and failed. He also attempted to file a complaint with the Board of Accountancy, which sided with me, and told him that if he wanted our services, or the work we did, he would need to pay. He refused, and still owes us. This is all a reflection of his "success" as a business owner." - Response from Jake Hanes If this response is not reason enough to not work with Action Tax I don't know what is. The disrespect and the arrogance in this kind of response is remarkable. Jake I did not close my business doors in fact I'm doing quite well despite the hurdles that you're company created for us. The BBB does not have the teeth to do anything as I found out so you saying that it failed is really more of a condemnation of the lack of credibility the BBB has and not that I didn't have cause to file suit with you. The State Board of Accountancy did not side on your favor. I had lengthy conversations with them and they empathized and agreed that you had poorly handled my business but unfortunately they didn't have enough evidence to do anything because you would not release any information claiming that I owed you a large amount of money. YOUR bookkeepers were the ones who informed me of an "oversight" that got missed and you needed $2,600 dollars from me after I had already confirmed several times the I was up to date on all payments owed. I made payments to your company for over two years. You claiming that I ran up a bill is a lie and you know it. A real honest person would just own up to it instead of trying to disparage me and try to con your way out of this situation. Did I struggle financially as many young companies do? yes...that is the very reason I contacted you in the first place was so that I could get the necessary help I needed to run a more financially successful business. I trusted you and your staff and you let me down. Period. Now instead of trying to blame me and try to discredit me maybe you should try to man up and take some responsibility.
